Football, in small sides, under direct control
Rematch is a competitive football game released on 19 June 2025. It is played 5v5, 4v4 or 3v3, each player controlling a single character over the shoulder. No scripted tackles, no referee: the ball stays in play from kick-off to final whistle.
The pitch
An enclosed arena walled on every side: the ball rebounds, never goes out, and the tempo never drops. Space closes fast, which rewards movement off the ball far more than dribbling.
The roles
Nobody is locked into a position. The goal is kept in turn, and the team that rotates cleanly between attack, support and cover wins long before the one that shoots hardest.
Progression
Ranked seasons, quick queues and private matches with friends. The curve is about reading the game: when to call, when to slow down, when to let it run to the far post.
